Having worked for over a decade recruiting UK GPs to Australia, and for most of that time with one of the leading recruiters in the field, I have a wealth of experience to bring to your situation and a network of trusted partners with whom I work to place you in the best possible job.
I am an Australian now living in the UK. I have lived in four of the six states of Australia and attended thirteen schools across the country during my primary and secondary education, including places as diverse as Kalgoorlie, Wagga Wagga and Melbourne. I know the country and the ways of its people intimately.
I have chosen to set up my own organisation as I have seen the need for a service that is more focused on the individual GP, on his/her qualifications, aspirations, and particular circumstances.
Rather than simply placing you in a job, I am offering a personlised service to work with you through the whole process – to lead you by the hand metaphorically speaking to your new life down under.

The process guide for moving to Australia
The process guide for moving to Australia
Daunting as the process may seem at the outset, we will lead you step by step the whole way.
If you are just setting out on this quest, you need to expect that currently it will take up to a year to arrive in Australia and take up your new job. There are moves afoot to shorten the registration and visa processes which are the lengthy bits – more on that shortly – but for now this is the process we will guide you through:
- Talk with us about your plans and send us your CV. We will advise on the feasibility of your plans and outline your job options, bearing in mind that overseas GPs are subject o some restrictions as to where they can work. If you wish to proceed, we will look for jobs that match your expectations as perfectly as possible.
- Begin the registration process. This is a three step process which will take around nine months and cost approximately £4,000GBP. You will need a job offer to proceed to stage two of the process.
- Using our specialist migration agent, decide which visa is going to be the best option for you and your family and begin the visa application.
- With our support, choose a relocation firm and plan your move to Australia. With support and advice from our partners in Australia, plan your accommodation on arrival.
- Once your visa is confirmed and you have received approval for the specialist registration pathway with the Royal Australian College of GPs, book your flights.
- On arrival in Australia, you will need to get your Medicare provider number, undergo training in billing Medicare, and undergo training with your practice, following which you can start work.
- During your first year of work, complete your specialist registration with the Royal Australian College of GPs.
